July 11, 2023 – Lemonade, a Corporate-Incubated Company (CIC) of Day1 Company, has announced the launch of its new language content publishing business.
Lemonade, responsible for Day1 Company’s foreign language education division, operates adult-targeted learning services such as Light Workbook and Newspresso, providing education in 11 languages to approximately 400,000 members.
This newly launched language content publishing business seeks to identify language instructors and content creators who have exceptional potential but lack capital or marketing expertise. Lemonade applies its marketing expertise and operational and distribution know-how to support these instructors, assuming all costs related to platform development and marketing execution. Profits are then shared with the partners. This strategic alliance business model allows for mutual growth by collaborating with, rather than competing against, small firms with high-quality content in the highly competitive language education market.
Since the second half of last year, Lemonade has signed six contracts with language instructors and firms offering outstanding content and innovative teaching methods. Notably, Steven English, which entered into a partnership with Lemonade in October last year, experienced a remarkable 1534% revenue growth in just three months compared to its previous earnings. This case demonstrates the explosive growth that can occur when robust content is combined with Lemonade’s marketing and online course management capabilities.
