– Plans to expand Custom Corporate Training Service with a focus on Digital Transformation leadership

February 17, 2022 – FastCampus, a Corporate-Incubated Company (CIC) of Day1 Company, announced the expansion of its B2B corporate education services by introducing a new Soft Skills category as part of its business development efforts.

FastCampus provides two key services tailored for businesses: the Online Education Subscription Service, which applies the subscription model to B2B corporate training, and the Custom Corporate Training service, which is specialized in digital transformation (DT). Thanks to its differentiated educational content that meets the needs of businesses, FastCampus saw a threefold revenue increase in 2021, reaching KRW 13 billion.

Until now, FastCampus’ B2B training has focused on practical skills, but recognizing the need for holistic employee development across different roles and the importance of organizational culture, the company is expanding its offerings to include Soft Skills. Soft skills, which encompass abilities such as communication, negotiation, teamwork, and leadership, have gained increasing importance, distinguishing them from technical knowledge (hard skills).

In response to this growing demand, FastCampus is adding 90 new soft skills courses to its Online Education Subscription Service. This service already provides access to over 20,000 courses across categories like data science, development, finance, video/design, marketing, and business. The subscription model has been highly popular, with 62% of corporate clients utilizing the service, and 3,414 companies in total have chosen FastCampus for their corporate training needs. The addition of the soft skills category is expected to further enhance client satisfaction and meet a wider range of corporate needs.

Newly added courses include topics like Key Followership Competencies for Trusted Employees and Building Better Relationships with Difficult Team Members, offering leadership training for various levels of employees. The platform also introduces language education courses such as Perfecting English Pronunciation with Native Speakers and Foreign Language Series for Travelers across 9 Countries. Other self-development content aims to boost skills that complement professional roles, and legally mandated training content addresses common challenges faced by corporate HR departments.

Some companies have already benefited from the expanded content. IBK Investment & Securities implemented ESG training for its employees, while D.Camp (Banking Youth Startup Foundation) and game developer Treenod used FastCampus to fulfill their legal education requirements. FastCampus plans to continue adding specialized content such as professional certifications and courses that address the latest industry trends and issues through the subscription service.

FastCampus is also expanding its Custom Corporate Training Service, particularly in the DT Leadership segment, which includes programs for new employee training, customer service (CS) training, and leadership education for different levels of staff. The aim is to accelerate corporate digital transformation while cultivating employees with the digital and leadership skills necessary to thrive in the rapidly changing business environment.

Shin Haedong, CEO of FastCampus CIC, stated, “As industries evolve rapidly and employees’ growth aspirations become more diverse, the corporate education sector has expanded accordingly. We will continue to work hard to provide efficient corporate education services that not only improve employees’ job skills but also meet their personal interests, whether it’s in areas like foreign languages, hobbies, or personal finance.”
