August 3, 2022 – FastCampus, a leading adult professional education service provider (CEO Shin Haedong), and Neo Academy, a top illustration academy (CEO No Jin), announced today that they have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to expand opportunities for professionals and students to study illustration.

FastCampus, a Corporate-Incubated Company (CIC) of Day1 Company (formerly FastCampus, CEO Kangmin Lee), specializes in professional and vocational education for adults. The company has received the “Consumer’s Choice Brand of the Year” award for three consecutive years and has amassed over 490,000 members.

Neo Academy is one of Korea’s premier illustration academies and has been recognized with top honors, including the 2021 KBPA Brand Preference Award, the 2020 KCSA Korean Consumer Awards, and the 2019 KBA Korean Education Service Grand Prize. The academy operates a community of over 110,000 members and has more than 330,000 subscribers on YouTube.

Through this partnership, both organizations aim to offer broader learning opportunities in illustration, helping more professionals and students overcome time and space limitations. The collaboration will provide a wide range of courses, from beginner-level classes to advanced courses for more experienced learners. Additionally, Neo Academy will unveil previously unreleased lectures, creating high expectations among aspiring illustrators.

FastCampus plans to open new illustration courses each month, featuring renowned artists such as Jname, Wanke, Huwari, Hiera, Okazu, Seol, Profi, Kana, and Kinty. The courses will offer structured instruction in each artist’s unique style. Some of the upcoming lectures include Emotional Casual Illustration with Matte Painting by Seol, SD Mini Character Drawing for Beginners (tentative title) by Kana, and Making a Deal with the Devil for Art (tentative title) by Wanke, all of Neo Academy.

Shin Haedong, CEO of FastCampus, expressed optimism about the partnership, stating, “We look forward to creating a positive synergy between FastCampus’ online and offline education insights and Neo Academy’s talented instructors. This MOU will allow professionals and students in the field of illustration to study more effectively.”

The first set of courses is scheduled to launch on August 22, 2022, featuring artists Seol, Wanke, and Kana, known for their casual art styles.
